A tragic car accident occurred on Thursday night in the Gajraula Kalan area of Pilibhit district, resulting in the deaths of two brothers who were traveling in the vehicle. The incident also left three others with serious injuries, according to police reports.
Authorities stated that the car lost control and plunged into a ditch near Patpur village. The victims, identified as Shivkumar (32) and his brother Rooplal (50), died at the scene, while the injured were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The group was returning to their village, Ajeetpur Patpura, from Jamuniya when the accident occurred. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examinations. Station Officer Brajveer Singh indicated that initial investigations suggest that excessive speed may have contributed to the crash, and a thorough inquiry is currently underway.
